Supported Configurations

Web Browsers

EBX.Manager Web tool supports the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher)

  • Firefox 2.0 (or higher)

Application Servers

EBX.Platform supports the following configurations:

  • Java Runtime Environment: JRE 1.4 (or higher version); 

  • Any Java application server that complies with Servlet 2.3 (or higher), for example Tomcat 5.0, Tomcat 5.5, WebSphere Application Server 5.1 or higher, WebLogic Server 8.1 or higher. See Installation/Deployment on J2EE Application Servers. 

Databases

EBX.Platform repository is persisted by means of one of the following solutions:

  • IBM DB2 UDB v8.2 (or higher).

  • Oracle 9i (or higher).

  • PostgreSQL 8.3 (or higher).

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (or higher).

  • For development environments or demonstration purpose only: HSQLDB 1.8.0.5, or higher version (HSQLDB is a light-weight Java relational database that may be run in the same Virtual Machine as EBX.Platform).

    Note: HSQLDB is not supported for production environments or for any repositories holding either sensitive data or large volumes.
